GG&G Cinco de Mayo Cocktail Recipe: No Blender Required Frozen Margaritas

Have you ever been filming a webseries episode in a public park and wanted a frozen margarita but didn’t have the time, blender, or electricity to make that happen? Yeah, that happened to us…but you don’t have to be filming a webseries in a public park to make these amazing and delicious “no blender required” frozen cocktails.

It doesn’t matter where you are or what you are doing…Glitter, Glue and Gluttony “No Blender Required Frozen Margaritas” make any gathering or occasion an instant fiesta.

 What you will need:

Sorbet – I used lime sorbet to make a classic lime margarita but you can use any flavor of sorbet.

Silver tequila – Sorry, this is a “no way Jose” event. Cuervo Gold is not invited to this fiesta my friends…get the good stuff…just make sure it is a blanco tequila.

Orange flavored liqueur – You can use triple Sec, or if you want to get fancy use Cointreau, Grand Marnier, or Patron Citronge…it is a fiesta after all.

Lime juice – Use this if you use a sorbet flavor other than lime.

Coarse salt – To rim the cocktail glass if desired.

Recipe:

  1. Place two scoops of sorbet into each festive margarita or martini glass (rimmed with salt if desired.)
  2. Pour 1 oz. of tequila and 1 oz. of orange flavored liqueur (for each cocktail you are making) into a cocktail shaker or mixing container half filled with ice. Add a ½ oz. of lime juice per cocktail if you are using a sorbet flavor other than lime.
  3. Shake well and pour over the sorbet.
  4. Drink and enjoy!!!

This margarita is so simple, frosty, and delicious…perfect to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!!!
